Job summary

Arc Hospice & Palliative Care in Florida seeks a dedicated Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide direct personal care and compassionate support to patients at home and in licensed facilities. Join a collaborative clinical team focused on comfort, dignity, and end-of-life care.

As a Full-Time caregiver, you will assist with daily activities, observe patient conditions, document care, and provide weekend or after-hours support as directed. Prior CNA certification and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in good standing with state-approved program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to read, follow, and document written care instructions.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and needs of terminally ill patients.
• Ability to work in home and facility settings with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Demonstrated empathy and ability to support patients and families from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, and skin care as assigned.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and ROM exercises as directed.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration support according to the plan of care.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and respectful presence to promote comfort and dignity.
• Take and record vital signs when trained and directed by the nurse.
• Maintain a clean and safe care environment, including light housekeeping related to patient care.
• Provide weekend or after-hours support as directed by clinical leadership.
