Liberty County Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to support teachers in replacing regular staff when absent and to assist in various tasks across multiple areas of the school. The role includes front office support, classroom organization, and direct student assistance.
The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, and may require two years of college coursework, an associate degree or higher, or passing the paraprofessional exam.
The primary goal is to maintain a supportive and effective learning environment when the regular teacher is absent. Additionally, to ensure the continuity of student support and classroom operations, assisting the teacher in various tasks and providing direct assistance to students
Able to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities including: Medium Work: Exerting 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds as needed to move objects.
Salary shall be paid consistent on the System's approved salary schedule. Length of work year and hours of employment shall be established by the system.
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the principal in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on classified evaluation.
