Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Substitute Paraprofessional. This flexible part-time position involves supporting teachers and students in a variety of educational settings. The ideal candidate will assist in the delivery of instructional materials, provide individualized support to students, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role is essential in ensuring that all students have access to quality education and the resources they need to succeed.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in preparing and implementing lesson plans and instructional materials.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing concepts taught in the classroom.
  • Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom management and discipline, promoting positive behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Support students during activities, including lunch, recess, and field trips.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior as required.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in education and child development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or higher in education or a related field is preferred.

  • Must pass background checks and any required certifications.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take initiative when necessary.
Hours

Elementary: 8:35am-4:05pm
Middle School: 7:20am-2:50pm
High School: 7:20am-2:50pm
