Blueberry Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our on-site team in a full-time role. The position involves daily rounds, minor repairs across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, and coordination with staff to keep resident areas safe and comfortable.

We value candidates with 1+ year maintenance experience in healthcare or similar environments, a high school diploma, and a solid understanding of safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of general maintenance experience in areas like painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades.
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily physical rounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.
• Review maintenance request logs and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
