Essential Functions:

• Assisted Self Check Out
• Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
• Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately.
• Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time.
• Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate completion of transactions.
• Thanks the customer for their business and invites them back to shop at Lowe’s.

Customer Service:

• Provides excellent customer service at all times, following Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
• Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers.
• Communicates information regarding stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties.
• Coaches, develops, and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds according to guidelines.
• Provides proper monetary change and supports the Front End team.
• Removes security tags, verifies product info, bags merchandise.
• Answers calls and manages register coverage as needed.
• Assists in line vesting for quicker checkout.

In-stock:

• Prepares register area at shift start/end, checks equipment, stocks supplies.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages.
• Enters customer orders, verifies receipts, and manages online orders and returns.
• Looks up product info and price matches.
• Records store items used on the store use lists.

Clean and Safe Stores:

• Monitors cash and security, assists with alarms, detects theft signs.
• Maintains store cleanliness and organization.
• Ensures a safe work environment, conducts safety reviews, secures doors and gates.
• Operates store equipment as needed.

General:

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers and retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, customer needs assessment, supervisory roles, and shoplifting detection.
