Essential Functions:

• Assisted Self Check Out
• Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers
• Approaches and interacts with customers to recommend products and services
• Proactively greets, assists, and engages with customers at multiple registers
• Moves throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product
• Thanks customers and invites them back to Lowe’s

Customer Service:

• Provides SMART customer service, executing Lowe's customer service policies
• Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Responds promptly to questions, guiding customers through projects as needed
• Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
• Communicates product, warranty, and service information
• Coaches, develops, and trains associates
• Uses a cash register for transactions, returns, and refunds
• Provides proper monetary change
• Supports the Front End Team with supervision and coaching
• Removes security tags, verifies product info, bags merchandise
• Answers calls and manages register coverage
• Assists with line vesting for quicker checkout

In-stock:

• Prepares register area at shift start/end, confirming functionality and stocking supplies
• Inspects returned merchandise
• Enters customer orders, verifies receipts, and loads tickets
• Reviews online orders and returns merchandise appropriately
• Looks up product info and price matches
• Records store use items

Clean and Safe Stores:

• Monitors cash in drawers and obtains safety bags
• Monitors store entrances/exits for security, assisting with alarms
• Detects shoplifting and communicates risks
• Maintains cleanliness and organization
• Ensures a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews
• Operates store equipment as needed

General:

• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of computer experience
• Less than 1 year of retail technology experience
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs
• Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe’s store departments
• Supervisory experience
• Experience in shoplifting detection
