Assisted Self Check Out
- Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately
- Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time
- Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate completion of transactions
- Thanks the customer for their business and invites them back to shop at Lowe’s
Customer Service
- Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs
- Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
- Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by taking them to areas of the store and walking them through projects when necessary
- Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
- Communicates information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs
- Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates in departmental duties or sales opportunities
- Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
- Provides proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates for register activities
- Provides supervision, coaching, and support to CSA Front End Team (Front End/Loaders)
- Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers
- Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls or takes messages as needed
- Opens additional registers when necessary to ensure adequate coverage
- Assists in line vesting to help quicker checkout turnaround
In-stock
- Prepares register area at shift start and end by confirming functionality and stocking supplies
- Inspects returned merchandise for damages
- Enters and submits customer orders, verifies receipts, and signs off on loading tickets
- Reviews and processes online orders and returns
- Looks up product info and competitor prices for price matching
- Records store use items on the store use lists
Clean and Safe Stores
- Obtains safety bags and monitors cash in registers
- Monitors store entrances/exits for security, assists with alarms
- Detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and communicates risks
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of store and work areas
- Maintains a safe work environment, including safety reviews and hazard notes
- Follows safety requirements for job duties
- Operates store equipment as needed
General
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Less than 1 year of experience with computers
- Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology
- 1-2 years of retail cashier experience
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
Preferences:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs analysis
- 1-2 years as head cashier
- 1-2 years working in Lowe’s or supervisory experience
- Less than 1 year detecting shoplifting signs
