Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
  • Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers.
  • Interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services.
  • Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across registers.
  • Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products.
  • Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.
Customer Service
  • Provide SMART customer service adhering to Lowe's policies and procedures.
  • Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, and loading merchandise.
  • Respond promptly to questions, guiding customers through projects when needed.
  • Show sincere appreciation to customers.
  • Communicate product and warranty information effectively.
  • Train and coach associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
  • Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register.
  • Provide proper monetary change and support to Front End associates.
  • Supervise, coach, and support the Front End Team.
  • Remove security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Open additional registers as needed.
  • Assist in line vesting to improve checkout turnaround.
In-stock
  • Prepare register area at shift start/end, check functionality, and stock supplies.
  • Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
  • Enter and submit customer orders, verify receipts, and sign loading tickets.
  • Review and process online orders and returns.
  • Verify prices and look up product info for price matching.
  • Record items used in store on the use lists.
Clean and Safe Stores
  • Monitor cash in drawers, obtain safety bags, and ensure security measures.
  • Detect shoplifting signs and report promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization per standards.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, conduct safety reviews, and secure store areas.
  • Follow safety procedures related to job duties.
  • Operate store equipment as required.
General
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Less than 1 year experience with computers and retail technology.
  • 1-2 years retail cashier experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
Preferences:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in product sales, customer needs assessment, and related fields.
  • Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe’s departments.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience detecting shoplifting.
