Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to stay focused and on-task on the production line.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-shift meetings and give feedback.
• Stack and sort glass on racks for the next step.
• Complete hourly SGCC quality tests at the furnace.
• Inspect quality with the line scanner and other visual aids.
• Track and manage daily incompletes and understand production goals and outputs.
• Communicate issues with your supervisor (e.g. need to walk off the line) and report safety concerns.
• Learn to operate all functions of TEMPERING (Outfeed, Midfeed, Infeed).
• Wear safety gear on the floor at all times (kevlar pullover, helmet, glasses, pants, etc.).
• Operate and troubleshoot machinery in your department.
• Keep area clean and organized; Know exits and fire extinguishers.
