Ecumen North Branch is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support therapists in delivering rehabilitation services to residents. The position offers a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits as part of full-time employment.

The successful candidate will assist with teaching techniques, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records while complying with safety and regulatory requirements. Experience with senior care is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from accredited program.
• Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written formats.
• Ability to follow safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility (e.g., HIPAA, CMS).

Aufgaben

• Teaches clients proper techniques (transfer from bed to wheelchair, stretches) per plan developed with the OT.
• Monitors clients during activities and provides encouragement; notifies OT if treatments are ineffective.
• Records client progress in OT records and documents services for billing.
• Interviews clients to verify information and reviews medical history.
• Ensures cleanliness of work areas; maintains OT equipment and initiates repairs as needed.
• Follows CMS, federal and state guidelines and other payor requirements.
• Manages license/certification renewals and other professional certifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
