VHC Health in Northern Virginia is recruiting a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Neurosurgeon to join a growing Neurosciences Program. The role involves broad cranial and spinal neurosurgical services within a collaborative team including neurology, neuroradiology and rehabilitation.

The successful candidate will benefit from a strong referral network, modern ORs, dedicated support staff and opportunities for program development in a nationally recognized health system near Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Neurosurgery Residency Program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery.
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia.
  • Eligible for DEA registration.
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive neurosurgical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for brain, spine, and peripheral nervous system disorders.
  • Perform elective and urgent neurosurgical procedures.
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical care.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and clinical support staff.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence initiatives.
  • Support growth and development of the Neurosciences Program.

GENERAL NEUROSURGEON

VHC Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Neurosurgeon to join our growing, highly respected Neurosciences Program in Northern Virginia. This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a collaborative, patient-centered health system committed to providing comprehensive neurosurgical care to a diverse and growing community.

The successful candidate will provide a broad range of cranial and spinal neurosurgical services, with the opportunity to develop areas of clinical interest while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team that includes neurology, neuroradiology, pain management, rehabilitation, oncology, and advanced practice providers.

This position offers access to a strong referral network, state-of-the-art technology, dedicated operating room support, and the resources of a nationally recognized health system located minutes from Washington, D.C.

Practice Highlights
  • Full-time employed position with VHC Health Medical Group with a total of 373 providers.
  • 548-beds not-for-profit teaching facility with a Level II Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center certification.

  • Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and clinical support staff.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.

  • Support the continued growth and development of the Neurosciences Program.
Qualifications

Compensation Range: $250,000.00 - $552,240.00 annually
