Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and follow production specifications.
• OSHA safety certification or forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Shift work may include nights, weekends, overtime, and extended hours during peak production.

Responsibilities

• Operate a powered industrial truck to load and unload lumber materials.
• Move stock to maintain inventory and ensure accurate storage.
• Identify product damages and monitor quality of materials.
• Work in other departments such as splitting, stacking, tagging, etc. as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and report accidents or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Maintain a safe workplace and complete safety forms, checklists, and permits.
• Sweep floors, pick up debris, and maintain tidy work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
