Job summary

Biewer Wisconsin Sawmill in Prentice, Wisconsin, seeks a Full Time Equipment Operator to load and unload lumber materials using a forklift, navigating storage bays, loading zones, and rail cars.

You will operate an industrial truck, ensure accurate inventory, identify damages, work across departments, and follow safety procedures. Shift includes a rotating schedule from 5:30pm to 5:30am, with nights, weekends, and overtime possible during peak production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA safety certification or forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load/unload lumber and move stock safely.
• Identify product damages and monitor material quality.
• Sort and place lumber in correct storage bays; assist other departments as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and report accidents.
• Perform lockout procedures when required.
• Maintain clean work areas and dispose of debris.
