Job summary

SERVPRO of East Mahoning County is looking for a dedicated cleaning technician to join their team. This full-time position involves evening shifts from 5p-1:30a, focusing on comprehensive cleaning and floor care.

The ideal candidate should possess effective communication skills and ideally have experience in cleaning/restoration, along with a high school diploma or GED. The role requires lifting and operating various cleaning equipment while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills for on-site interactions.
• Cleaning/restoration experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Completion of a background check as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clean carpets and prepare floors for different treatments.
• Buff and refinish floors to maintain cleanliness and shine.
• Operate cleaning equipment like scrubbers and vacuums.
• Notify management about necessary repairs or issues.
• Properly mix and dispose of cleaning solutions.

Skills

Effective oral communication

Experience in cleaning/restoration preferred

Ability to successfully complete a background check

Education

High school diploma/GED

IICRC certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Carpet cleaning
• Prepare floors to clean, buff, or refinish them
• Perform buffing and refinishing activities to ensure that designated floors are kept shiny and clean
• Operate floor care equipment such as automatic scrubbers, floor machines, and dry vacuums
• Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
• Notify building management of any repairs required
• Mix and dispose of all cleaning solutions properly
• Multi surface/Window cleaning

Qualifications

• Effective oral communication
• Experience in cleaning/restoration preferred
• High school diploma/GED
• IICRC certifications preferred, Not Required
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Exposure to chemicals
• Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing,
• Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects

Employment Details

This is a Full-Time position, 40 Hours PER WEEK.

Evening Shift: 5p-1:30a Monday-Friday (No overtime.)
