You will perform janitorial duties, ensuring clean, safe, and welcoming environments for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The role emphasizes reliability and quality work.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop hard floors.
• Vacuum carpeted areas.
• Dust desks, furniture, and workstations.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors, partitions).
• Restock restroom supplies and paper products.
• Clean entrance doors, glass surfaces, and interior windows.
• Empty trash and replace Liners as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns to supervisors.
• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Remain on your feet and perform repetitive tasks safely.
• Lift and transport cleaning equipment as needed.

SERVPRO Team Dobson is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Day Shift General Cleaner to join our team at Youngstown State University. As a General Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of university facilities by performing routine janitorial and custodial services. Successful candidates are dependable, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop hard-surface floors
• Vacuum carpeted areas
• Dust desks, furniture, workstations, and other surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including:
  • Toilets and urinals
  • Sinks and countertops
  • Mirrors
  • Partitions
  • Walls and floors
• Restock restroom supplies, including paper products and soap
• Clean entrance doors, glass surfaces, and interior windows
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed
• Report building maintenance concerns and equipment issues to supervisors
• Follow assigned cleaning schedules and company procedures
• Work effectively and professionally as part of a team

This position requires the ability to
