Overview

The ideal MDS float candidate is detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and capable of performing bedside resident assessments and family meetings. The ability to travel Monday – Friday is essential.

How You Will Make a Difference

1. Provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate, and implement programs related to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), Quality Measures (QMs), Medicaid Casemix, and Medicare guidelines for all SHC stakeholders.
2. Assist and collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialists during onboarding of new MDS Coordinators.
3. Demonstrate competency in RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and Medicaid Case Mix when applicable.

What You Need to Make a Difference

1. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the ability to obtain multi-state licenses.
2. Minimum of five (5) years of MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
3. Travel commitment of 80% - 90%, including overnight stays.
