Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will live on campus in student homes, mentoring 8–13 students and creating a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development.

Hired couples follow a nine-on, three-off schedule, then may transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and join Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support various student homes and later transition to a placed houseparent role.
