Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students.

In this unique role, you will manage daily routines, supervise, drive to activities, lead devotions, and help students develop academically and socially while living in a family-like setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel; proselytizing prohibited.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog allowed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational events
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
