Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus. You will reside in student homes, providing care, guidance, and supervision for 8–13 students, with duties including devotions, Chapel, activities, and budgeting oversight.

The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three off, with progression to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Housing and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Initial placement across multiple homes with a nine-on/three-off schedule; transition to a placed houseparent.
