Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks full-time Flex Houseparents for couples living on-campus with 8–13 students. Schedule: nine days on, three off; transition to placed houseparent with the same group.

Applicants should be a legally married couple, 27+, with a high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Responsibilities include supervision, scheduling, medication management, driving students, and leading devotions.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years; both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsabilités

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
