Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks full-time Flex Houseparents (couples) to live in on-campus student homes and care for 8-13 students. The role blends mentorship, discipline, and program planning in a structured, family-like setting. This is a two-person position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Husband and wife must be married at least two years, both aged 27+, and prepared to relocate to a campus environment. Training and relocation support provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role; both spouses must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be 27 years or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
