Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents (couples) to live in on-campus homes and supervise a group of 8–13 students. The role includes mentoring, scheduling, and coordinating activities, with transition to placed houseparent over time.

Two-spouse team must be married 2+ years, aged 27+, and able to lift 50 lbs. Benefits include housing, meals on duty, and comprehensive coverages. Training and relocation support provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples, legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
