Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique, life-changing role, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, routines, medication administration, activities planning, devotions, chapel, and household reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-person couple role, married at least two years
• Both spouses aged 27+
• No more than three dependent children in home
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol on duty
• Pets limited to fish and one dog of approved breeds
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans
• Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism for role-modeling

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting

Skills
