Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking a married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The roles live on campus in student homes, providing care, supervision, and support for about 8-13 students.

The positions begin with nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off, and may transition to aPlaced Houseparent role living with the same group. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role for married partners (at least two years).
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol while on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship of students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and engaging in development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
