Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to join as Full‑time Flex Houseparents. Couples live on campus in student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, creating a structured, family‑like environment to promote academic, emotional, and social growth.

Initial duties cover supervision, routines, medications, transportation to activities, and leading devotions; later path leads to a placed houseparent role with a same group of students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmental/recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
