Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8-13 students, helping them develop academically, emotionally, and socially in a structured, family-like environment.

The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with transition to placed houseparent later.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must have valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to drive student vans
• Commitment to campus policies (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol)
• Dedicated to modeling integrity and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmentally appropriate activities
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
• Initial nine days on duty, followed by three days off; later move to a placed houseparent role
