Job summary

The Hillman Group’s Robotics & Digital Solutions (RDS) team is hiring a Field Service Technician in Louisville, KY. You will travel up to 80% to service 50+ kiosks across Kentucky, performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations while building strong retailer relationships.

You will troubleshoot, restock, and ensure uptime, with a focus on customer satisfaction and proactive problem-solving. This role offers competitive pay, benefits, and room to grow technical skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Reliable transportation with active automobile insurance.
• Comfortable using hand tools and troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a service territory.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and restocking of kiosk machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair kiosks to maximize uptime and customer satisfaction.
• Respond to service calls and perform on-site repairs.
• Install new kiosks and replace or upgrade existing equipment.
• Monitor kiosk performance and resolve connectivity or power-related issues.
• Manage inventory and replacement parts within your assigned territory.
• Partner with store personnel to maintain strong business relationships.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue through better machine placement and service execution.

About The Role

You'll be responsible for a territory of 50+ kiosks throughout the Kentucky area. This role combines technical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, inventory management, and customer relationship building to ensure our kiosks remain operational and profitable.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of field service, maintenance, merchandising, or related experience
• Electromechanical repair and maintenance experience
• Retail field operations experience
• Experience diagnosing and resolving mechanical or technical issues

Work Environment

This is a field‑based role that involves daily travel between customer locations. No two days are the same, and you'll work in a variety of retail environments.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs regularly
• Occasionally push or pull up to 100 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and driving
• Daily travel throughout the assigned territory, which may include driving up to 200 miles per day
