Job summary

Defining Wellness Centers in Brandon and Ridgeland, Mississippi, seeks a Full Time Family Therapist (Master’s in Counseling or LPC/LCSW/LMFT) to join our clinical team in a residential and PHP setting.

The therapist will provide individual, family, and group therapy with trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches; weekend availability is required; EMR documentation and treatment planning are standard.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Mississippi license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) active.
• Experience with evidence-based family therapy preferred.
• EMDR, CPT, and/or PE preferred.
• Experience with first responders and veterans preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma, addiction, and co-occurring disorders.
• Familiarity with ASAM criteria and individualized treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed individual and group therapy sessions.
• Facilitate therapeutic programming within a full continuum of care.
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system.
• Support clients in developing coping strategies and relapse prevention plans.

Full Time Family Therapist – Residential and PHP Substance Abuse Treatment (Locations: Brandon, MS & Ridgeland, MS)

Defining Wellness Centers, a premier full‑continuum substance abuse treatment facility located in Brandon and Ridgeland, Mississippi, is seeking a Full Time Family Therapist (Master's in Counseling, or LPC, LCSW, LMFT) to join our dynamic and compassionate clinical team.

Position Overview

The therapist will provide individual, family, and group therapy to clients in a structured residential and PHP environment, addressing co‑occurring substance use disorders and mental health. This role focuses on evidence‑based, trauma‑informed care and plays a vital part in the recovery journey of individuals seeking long‑term healing.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Active Mississippi license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
• Experience providing evidence‑based family therapy preferred.
• Certification in EMDR, CPT, and/or PE preferred.
• Experience working with first responders and veterans is highly preferred.
