Job summary

St. Ambrose Catholic Church and School in Deerfield Beach, FL is hiring a full-time Maintenance/Custodial Person to support operations, maintenance, and improvements of the building and grounds.

Responsibilities include setup for events, basic repairs, painting, A/C filters, and ensuring a clean, safe environment per Archdiocese policies. The role requires 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with benefits and potential after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform physical activities (lifting, bending, climbing).
• Experience with janitorial tools and supplies helpful.
• Strong English communication, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean church and school facilities and grounds.
• Set up and break down furnishings for events.
• Perform basic repairs (lighting, painting, plumbing) and report larger issues.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness following OSHA and church policies.
• Schedule and complete tasks within assigned time frames.
