St. Bonaventure Catholic Parish and School in Davie, Florida has a part-time position for a Maintenance/Custodial Worker. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 4:00 pm-9:30 pm. (Hours may vary based on special events).

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain parish and school grounds, buildings, and equipment.
• Janitorial duties, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, sweeping, and floor mopping, etc.
• Change light bulbs, electrical repairs, and perform plumbing tasks.
• Lawn and landscape maintenance, pressure washing, and delivering supplies, materials, and equipment as needed.
• Assist with Parish events including set up and tear down.
• Routine preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High‑school diploma or G.E.D.
• Prior maintenance/custodial work experience a plus.
• Ability to bend, climb stairs, lift and move heavy items (up to 40 pounds), such as furniture, chairs, and tables.
• Knowledge of machines and tools is a plus.
• Multi‑tasking a plus.
• Good oral and written English language communication skills are necessary; Spanish is a plus.
• Support the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Must work well with others.
• Must have a driver's license and be able to pass a background check.

Must undergo background screening through Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse and pass a background check. Eligibility must meet the Archdiocese of Miami Policy "Creating and Maintaining a Safe Environment for Children and Vulnerable Adults."
