Qualifications

• Experience as veterinary assistant or animal care preferred, emergency experience a plus.
• Availability for evening shifts and rotating Saturdays.
• Ability to stay calm, focused and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Dependable, compassionate and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with emergency exams, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain patients, including critical or unstable ones.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and promptly report changes to the medical team.
• Prepare, clean, and maintain treatment areas, cages, and equipment.
• Support overall hospital flow and maintain a high standard of organization and patient care.
