Job summary

Washington Regional Medical System in Fayetteville, AR seeks a Phlebotomist for a full-time role working Monday–Friday from 12:00pm to 8:30pm. You will ensure proper collection, labeling, and transport of blood and other patient specimens, coordinating with lab staff, nursing, and medical teams.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with national phlebotomy certification preferred and hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• National phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in acute hospital setting or phlebotomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and identify patients using proper identifiers.
• Perform venipuncture and dermal skin specimen collections, including blood cultures.
• Label specimens correctly for lab purposes.
• Prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory.
• Assist with troubleshooting phlebotomy equipment.
• Document specimen-related information in the laboratory information system.
• Follow HIPAA and safety guidelines; communicate with staff and patients.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
