Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Committed to a student-centered, team-based model.
• Ability to lift and position up to 50 pounds.
• Able to participate in activities requiring bending, lifting and floor time.
• Able to support basic life and self-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement instruction aligned with the school’s philosophy, goals, and objectives.
• Create a learning environment using a variety of supportive strategies.
• Implement classroom rules and protect students, equipment, and facilities.
• Supervise students across the school day.
• Uphold policies and communicate positively about the program with staff and the public.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional growth activities.
• Evaluate student progress and tailor accommodations and modifications per IEPs and behavior plans.
