Job summary

Habitat America, LLC in Denton, MD, is seeking an ENTRY LEVEL Porter/Maintenance Technician for 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of apartment maintenance or related experience; basic appliance repair, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, drywall or painting is a plus but not required.

You will work independently and as part of a team to maintain grounds and common areas. Responsibilities include turnover units, after-hours on-call rotation, and assisting contractors;

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of apartment maintenance or related experience.
• Basic appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting are a plus but not required.
• Must be able to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Grounds keeping of the community and cleaning of common areas.
• Assist with basic apartment maintenance tickets and unit turnovers.
• Oversee work by contractors and support after-hours on-call rotation.
