Job summary

Habitat America, LLC in Denton, MD seeks an entry-level Porter/Maintenance Technician for a full-time 40-hour workweek. The role focuses on grounds maintenance, cleaning common areas, and basic apartment maintenance tasks.

The position reports to the Community Manager and requires reliability and teamwork. Candidates with 1-2 years in apartment maintenance or related fields are preferred; training and advancement opportunities are offered along with benefits such as health and dental plans and

Qualifications

• Energetic, self-motivated individual able to work as a team.
• Some experience in apartment maintenance or similar industry desired; basic appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting desired.
• Must be able to understand and oversee work performed by contractors.
• Must have reliable transportation and possess valid driver's license.
• Requires extensive mobility and excellent physical condition.
• Must be able and willing to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Grounds keeping of the community and cleaning of all common areas.
• Assist with basic apartment maintenance tickets and unit turnovers.
• Be part of the after-hours on-call rotation and report to the Community Manager.
