The people and companies building Bloomington, in their own words. Founder journeys, member wins, and community stories.

Amplify Bloomington runs the programs that help founders build real companies here: an accelerator, a summer program for student founders, peer accountability cohorts, and a public event series, with more in the works. This role owns the execution behind all of it, keeping programs on schedule, funders satisfied, and founders having a good experience from application through the final showcase.

You’ll meet with founders one-on-one as a guide on logistics, deadlines, and next steps, not as a coach. The Head of Entrepreneurship Growth leads founder coaching, the ongoing relationship, and the mentor and expert network; this role supports that work operationally. It’s a builder’s role on a growing team, and you’ll have real say in how it takes shape.

At a glance
  • Type: Full-time, exempt
  • Reports to: Head of Entrepreneurship Growth
  • Location: The Mill, Bloomington, Indiana (on-site)
  • Schedule: Occasional evenings and weekends for programs and events
  • Pay: $57,000–$68,000
What you’ll own
Program operations and compliance (about 45%)
  • Run day-to-day logistics for the accelerator, summer founder program, peer accountability cohorts, and whatever joins the portfolio next
  • Keep grant-funded programs on track: application windows, selection panels, funder check-ins, and reporting
  • Keep peer accountability groups running through scheduling, communication, and tracking
Events and founder experience (about 25%)
  • Turn program plans into finished events, including showcases and founder learning series: speaker confirmations and prep, founder prep, run-of-show, and the handoff to the events team
  • Serve as the program’s point person on event days
  • Meet with founders one-on-one on logistics, deadlines, and next steps
  • Collect founder NPS after every program and recommend improvements when scores come in low
Partners, data, and systems (about 20%)
  • Keep partner touchpoints, including university and investor-network partners, organized and on schedule
  • Maintain the data that guides where the pillar focuses
  • Maintain and improve the shared databases and tools (e.g., Airtable) that keep programs, partners, and mentors organized
Marketing support (about 10%)
  • Work with the marketing lead to get program and event stories out: write stories, build email campaigns and social posts, and take casual event photos
What you’ll bring
  • Real experience running the logistics behind a program, event series, or grant-funded initiative. Paid, contract, and substantial volunteer or leadership experience all count; we’re not counting years.
  • Comfort working in shared organizational systems (Notion, Asana, Airtable, and the like)
  • Comfort owning deadlines and compliance requirements
  • Direct communication: you raise problems early instead of letting them become fires
  • Confidence executing someone else’s direction well, while still speaking up when you see a better way
  • Writing skill: you can put together a story, an email campaign, or a social post without it needing a full rewrite
  • Availability for occasional evenings or weekends
  • Genuine interest in startups and the people building them
Nice to have
  • Experience with grant or funder reporting
  • Time in an accelerator, higher education, or nonprofit program setting
  • Comfort with ambiguity; some edges of this role are still being drawn, and you’ll help draw them
  • Comfort using AI and automation to clear repetitive work, with real judgment on top. Not required day one; we’ll teach it. The goal is to improve the role, never replace the person in it.
How we’ll measure success
  • Programs launched and run on their published schedules
  • Funder reports and check-ins delivered on time
  • Founder NPS collected after every program, with improvement recommendations when scores fall short
  • Program, partner, and mentor data kept current in Airtable
  • Program and event stories drafted and delivered to marketing each quarter
