SGMC Health seeks a skilled EMT for the Specialty Care Transport team. You will respond to 911 calls, assess patients, provide treatments and transport to appropriate facilities. Requires current Georgia EMT license, BLS, and ongoing training to meet state regulations.

The role is full-time, on-site at EMS Station One, with 8-hour day shifts from 9a to 5p, and opportunities for growth in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as an EMT by the Georgia Department of Public Health.
• Must be currently certified as an EMT and must maintain certification in BLS.
• Must complete annual educational requirements as prescribed by Georgia laws / regulations, and department policies/procedures.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to perform practical skills proficiently in BLS across adult, pediatric and infant patients.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving history as per the Medical Center's standards.
• Haz-Mat Awareness. NIMS ICs 100, 200, 700, 800 required within 90 days of employment.
• Preferred: ALS, stroke, burn, trauma life support certifications (as available).

Responsabilités

• Responds to calls for service, providing assessment, treatment modalities, and transportation of patients in a variety of settings.
• Provides emergency care and rescue and supports the continuum of care during patient transfers.
• Attends required training and maintains certifications as required by the department and Medical Center.
