Job summary

Plateau Valley School District 50 is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Elementary Paraprofessional to support students in achieving academic success within a safe, structured learning environment.

Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and building administration, you will provide instructional support, work with students in small groups, assist with behavior strategies, and help collect progress data to monitor growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students experiencing academic difficulties.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce teacher-directed instruction.
• Implement instructional plans under the direction of the Special Education Teacher and classroom teacher(s).
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies.
• Support students within the regular education classroom setting.
• Collect and document student progress data as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and information at all times.
• Assist with supervision duties as assigned (e.g., transitions, recess, lunch, arrival/dismissal).
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development as required.
