SPIN in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Teacher Assistant for our Children Services Department. This full-time role supports early childhood programs, engages children in developmentally appropriate activities, and helps maintain a safe, clean classroom.

The position emphasizes teamwork with the Lead Teacher and communication with families, while delivering daily activities and supporting a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities.
• Appropriately supervise children and keep them safe.
• Assist children with activities of daily life.
• Help facilitate daily preschool activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe classroom environment.
• Establish rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Assist Lead Teacher with curriculum and daily plans.
• Communicate with Lead Teacher about children's care and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development.
• Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times.
• Assist children with activities of daily life (e.g., diapering/restroom use, feeding, dressing).
• Help facilitate daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for preschoolers.
• Create and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for all children.
• Establish professional rapport with each family to provide quality care.
• Assist Lead Teacher in implementing curriculum and planning activities.
• Communicate with the Lead Teacher regarding all aspects of the children’s care.
• Maintain a professional self-image and project SPIN values.
