American Health Imaging of Shelby, an outpatient imaging center in Alabaster, AL, is seeking a full-time Dual MRI/CT Technologist (ARRT certified) to perform high-quality MRI and CT procedures. You will ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging while collaborating with radiologists and staff.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT certifications in CT and MR, IV and CPR certifications, and has graduated from an accredited RT program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program.
• Current ARRT certification.
• CT registry.
• MR registry through ARRT.
• IV certification/skills.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI and CT procedures following physician orders and protocols.
• Ensure patient screening, positioning, and image quality.
• Monitor patient safety, comfort, and experience during procedures.
• Administer contrast agents as directed and per policy.
• Verify patient information and documentation prior to imaging.
• Maintain MRI and CT equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Adhere to MRI and radiation safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and documentation.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout imaging.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including IV administration when appropriate.

Schedule is alternating 3-days of 12-hour shifts

For Example: Wednesday - Friday and Monday - Wednesday (or Wednesday - Wednesday), then off the following 5 days after (Thursday - Tuesday)

Lumexa Imaging partner American Health Imaging is seeking an ARRTregistered Dual MRI/CT Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis at our American Health Imaging of Shelby outpatient imaging center. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced imaging professional who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic imaging in a collaborative outpatient environment.

The Dual MRI/CT Technologistis responsible for performing high-quality MRI and CT procedures in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment. This role ensures patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostic imaging while delivering an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate is proficient in both MRI and CT imaging, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is committed to providing outstanding patient care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI and CT procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Ensure proper patient screening, positioning, and image quality for all examinations.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall experience.
• Administer contrast agents/media as directed and in accordance with physician orders, company policies, and applicable regulations.
• Verify patient information, orders, and documentation for accuracy prior to imaging procedures.
• Maintain MRI and CT equipment and promptly report any operational or maintenance concerns.
• Adhere to all MRI safety, radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of exam rooms and work areas.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and quality standards.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including IV administration when appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
• Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) through ARRT
• IV certification/skills required.
• Current CPR certification required.
