Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, is seeking a Driver to move and position vehicles at the auction site in Bordentown, NJ. You will drive vehicles through sale lanes, stage and park inventory, and help ensure a smooth customer experience.

No prior experience or education is required; a valid driver’s license and safe driving record are essential. The role may require overtime based on business needs and offers a starting pay rate of $16.30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous auction experience preferred.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days and throughout auction grounds, following all auction driving procedures, traffic laws and defensive driving practices.
• Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises, as well as customer dealerships and business locations, providing a professional and courteous experience.
• Stage, organize and park vehicles in the correct order based on direction from supervisors or team leaders.
• Help locate misplaced vehicles or move inventory as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for movement by performing basic tasks such as inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
• Communicate vehicle issues to the appropriate teams.
• Provide helpful, friendly support to customers, dealers, account representatives, rental agencies and coworkers.
• Follow all safety and health procedures and actively contribute to a culture of safety excellence.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous auction experience
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to walk long distances
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
