Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, seeks a Driver I to move and stage vehicles for auction and customer pickup. You’ll be on the move, working with a tight-knit team, driving vehicles between auction lanes and designated areas with a focus on safety and efficiency.

No previous experience or education is required; the role offers daytime hours and opportunities to stay active in the automotive environment.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days and throughout auction grounds, following all procedures and traffic laws.
• Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises and customer locations.
• Stage, organize and park vehicles in the correct order based on supervisor directions.
• Help locate misplaced vehicles or move inventory as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for movement by inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
• Communicate vehicle issues to the appropriate teams.
• Provide friendly support to customers, dealers, account representatives, rental agencies and coworkers.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to a culture of safety excellence.

Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 7am -3:30pm

Pay Rate: $22.44/hr

What You'll Do

You'll spend your day behind the wheel, helping ensure vehicles are in the right place at the right time. You will:

• Safely drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days and throughout auction grounds, following all auction driving procedures, traffic laws and defensive driving practices.
• Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises, as well as customer dealerships and business locations, providing a professional and courteous experience.
• Stage, organize and park vehicles in the correct order based on direction from supervisors or team leaders.
• Help locate misplaced vehicles or move inventory as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for movement by performing basic tasks such as inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
• Communicate vehicle issues to the appropriate teams.
• Provide helpful, friendly support to customers, dealers, account representatives, rental agencies and coworkers.
• Follow all safety and health procedures and actively contribute to a culture of safety excellence.

• May be required to work overtime based on business needs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to walk long distances
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

USD 22.11 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is $22.11. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
