Job summary

PALS OHIO, LLC. is seeking a Driver for Non-Medical Transportation to pick up clients from Adult Living Facilities and transport them to daily programming locations in Ohio. You will ensure safety during transport, perform routine vehicle checks, and maintain documentation.

A DOT physical, valid Ohio driver license (≤6 points), and background checks are required. At least six months of commercial driving experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must pass DOT physical.
• Valid Ohio driver license with less than 6 points.
• Must pass criminal background screens.
• Must have at least six months of driving a commercial vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up clients from Adult Living Facilities or other locations using a company vehicle.
• Transport clients to and from daily programming locations.
• Ensure client safety at all times during transportation.
• Perform Vehicle Safety Checks and maintain maintenance logs.
• Attend weekly technician meetings for additional training.

The driver will be responsible for picking up clients from Adult Living Facilities, residential homes or other agreed upon location and transporting them safely to Programing. Driver shall also be responsible for safe transportation back to the agreed upon location on a daily basis. The Driver is responsible for transportation documentation, cleanliness and scheduled maintenance on company vehicles and insuring that the vehicle functions, including but not limited to, safety equipment are in good working order.ScheduleA SPLIT SHIFT schedule means that you will drive a route in the morning, break for 4-5 hours, then return to drive a route in the afternoon.Monday - Friday - Paid Time Off for holidays & Discounted Health Benefits availablePOSITION’S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSafely pick up clients from Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, using a company VehicleSafely take clients to Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, upon completion of daily program using the company vehicle.Insure safety of clients at all times during transportation on and off the van (i.e. using a safety step)Routinely check functions of van and maintain proper maintenance schedule for the vehicleInsure all safety equipment is in good working orderResponsible for client supervision/supportResponsible for documentation, including but not limited to, Vehicle Safety Checks, billing sheets and other program documentation.Attend weekly technician meeting for additional trainingInteract appropriately and professionally with clients and the community.Must successfully pass the DOT physical.Must have minimum High School degree or equivalent there of.
