Job summary

PALS OHIO, LLC. is seeking a Driver for Non-Medical Transportation to safely pick up clients from Adult Living Facilities or other locations and transport them to daily programming.

You will perform vehicle safety checks, complete documentation, and maintain the vehicle; must hold a valid Ohio driver license with <6 points, pass the DOT physical, background checks, and drug screen; position offers competitive salaries, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• Must have valid Ohio Driver License with less than 6 points.
• Minimum six months of driving a commercial vehicle.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up clients from Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, using a company vehicle.
• Safely transport clients to Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, upon completion of daily program using the company vehicle.
• Ensure safety of clients at all times during transportation on and off the van.
• Routinely check van functions and maintain maintenance schedule.
• Attend weekly technician meeting for additional training.

Our team works together living our core values to create these opportunities.The Driver for Non-Medical Transportation is responsible for performing a variety of duties in support of programing. The driver will be responsible for picking up clients from Adult Living Facilities, residential homes or other agreed upon location and transporting them safely to Programing. Driver shall also be responsible for safe transportation back to the agreed upon location on a daily basis. The Driver is responsible for transportation documentation, cleanliness and scheduled maintenance on company vehicles and insuring that the vehicle functions, including but not limited to, safety equipment are in good working order.ScheduleA SPLIT SHIFT schedule means that you will drive a route in the morning, break for 4-5 hours, then return to drive a route in the afternoon.Monday - Friday - Paid Time Off for holidays & Discounted Health Benefits availablePOSITION’S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSafely pick up clients from Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, using a company VehicleSafely take clients to Adult Living Facility, or other agreed upon location, upon completion of daily program using the company vehicle.Insure safety of clients at all times during transportation on and off the van (i.e. using a safety step)Routinely check functions of van and maintain proper maintenance schedule for the vehicleInsure all safety equipment is in good working orderResponsible for client supervision/supportResponsible for documentation, including but not limited to, Vehicle Safety Checks, billing sheets and other program documentation.Attend weekly technician meeting for additional trainingInteract appropriately and professionally with clients and the community.Must successfully pass the DOT physical.Must have minimum High School degree or equivalent there of.
