Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring full-time dishwashers at the University of New Orleans in New Orleans, LA. Pay is $14.00 per hour with uniforms and parking provided.

The schedule is full-time with rotating hours; prior dishwashing experience is preferred but not required. You will maintain cleanliness of dishes, pots, pans and prep areas, follow safety procedures, and assist the kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment.
• Washes pots, pans and trays; ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth; ensures cleanliness and sanitation.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors; cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators & prep surfaces.
