Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring immediately at the University of New Orleans for full-time and part-time Food Service Utility positions. This role maintains kitchen areas, cleans equipment, and supports dishwashing operations to ensure safe, sanitary food prep spaces.

Candidates should have prior dishwashing experience, be able to lift up to fifty pounds, and be prepared for varied days and hours with an on-site work environment.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience is required.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds.
• Food safety and sanitation knowledge is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintains kitchen work areas and keeps equipment/utensils clean and orderly.
• Sweeps and mops floors to meet safety/sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, prep surfaces, refrigerators and blocks.
• Removes trash and disposes of it properly.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
• Assists with loading/unloading and delivering supplies.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
