Job summary

The Wild Animal Sanctuary is hiring a Full-Time Dishwasher/Prep at our Lion’s Den Café. You will assist in preparation, sanitation, deep cleaning, and pizza station coverage in a professional kitchen, with occasional catering for on-site events. Responsibilities include prepping food, maintaining inventory awareness, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards while supporting kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in restaurants or food service preferred but not required.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prep all served food and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Sanitation, deep cleaning, and pizza station coverage as needed.
• Coordinate with cooks and other staff for on-site events.
• Follow food safety and sanitation codes.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
