Job summary

Cardinal Bay in Conroe, TX, operating Carriage Inn Conroe, is seeking a Full-Time Dishwasher/Utility Worker to support our residents with compassionate care. This role handles dishwashing, maintains cleanliness, and ensures a sanitary kitchen environment.

Shifts are 10:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday with holiday rotation. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 2–3 weeks vacation, 401(k), training, and referral bonuses. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
• Must be or become accredited food handler per State guidelines within 60 days.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in hot, wet, humid environments for long periods.
• Great customer service attitude.
• Ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Able to work independently or with others on tasks.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Must be willing to undergo a routine background check.

Responsibilities

• Load, run and unload dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report problems.
• Monitor water temperature for sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep the dish room clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times.
• Handle tableware to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
