Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services, Inc. is seeking a parts-time Utility Worker/Dishwasher to support our kitchen operations. This role involves cleaning, pot washing, stock handling, and maintaining sanitary conditions in the dining area and dish room.

The position is on-site and requires reliability and the ability to work multiple shifts as needed to meet residents’ needs and maintain daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to communicate with residents and coworkers.
• Able to follow basic written and oral instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the dish room and pot washing area.
• Clean pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and utensils; wash, dry and store.
• Clean and sanitize carts and production equipment.
• Sweep and mop kitchen; keep storeroom and walk-in coolers clean.
• Assist with receiving and storing groceries and supplies.
• Report safety hazards and accidents.
• Participate in staff meetings and training.
• Perform general office tasks as required.
• Perform special assignments and other duties as required.
