Job summary

Moldaw Residences in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a hospitality-focused Dishwasher to join our Culinary Services team. You’ll help maintain a clean kitchen and assist with meal service, contributing to a positive dining experience for residents.

We value reliability, teamwork, and strong service orientation. Training is available; schedule is Friday through Tuesday, 1:00pm-9:30PM, with pay range at $20-$21 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one under California regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, walk, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dish area per health and safety standards.
• Set up and break down the dishwashing station; assist with general kitchen cleaning.
• Assist with food preparation, stocking supplies, and storing items as needed.
• Support dining team by setting/clearing tables and ensuring smooth meal service.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.
• Provide friendly, courteous service to residents, guests, and teammates.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dishwasher:

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, dish room, and food preparation areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Set up and break down the dishwashing station and assist with general kitchen cleaning, including floors, equipment, and work surfaces.
• Assist with food preparation, stocking supplies, and storing food and non-food items as needed.
• Support the dining team by setting and clearing tables and ensuring meal service runs smoothly.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and workplace safety procedures.
• Provide friendly, courteous service to residents, guests, and fellow team members while contributing to a positive dining experience.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dishwasher or kitchen utility experience is preferred, but not required—we are happy to train motivated individuals.
• Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain one as required by California regulations).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
